Delano Dream is a completely remodeled basement apartment that offers an industrial feel. With 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and laundry, it offers anything you might need for short or long stays. It is located in the Historic Delano Neighborhood on the picturesque University Street, just 3 blocks from Friends University and minutes from Downton, the Delano District, the Arkansas River, and countless restaurants, shops and entertainment spots.
This space is a completely remodeled and furnished basement apartment of a large farmhouse built in 1909. It offers 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry unit. One of the bedrooms has a lofted twin bed, and the living room has a couch that folds into a bed. The space has high speed Wi-Fi and a 50" ROKU TV equipped with Netflix and Sling.
For convenience and comfort, the kitchen is stocked with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and full size oven, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker, toaster, blender, pots/ pans, dishes and cookware. Basic necessities such as coffee, tea, sugar and spices are always available.
Have kids? A pack and play and high chair are available upon request. We also have age appropriate toys that can be available upon request.
Working? This space has a workspace with fast Wi-Fi, and is conveniently located. We also offer this space as a short-term rental for business purposes.
With a ring door bell system and key pad entry, it is easy for guests to check in or reach me in case of emergency (i.e. getting locked out). Motion-sensing cameras are located on the front and back of the property for extra security.
Please note that this is a basement apartment in an older house. The noise from both units can travel to the others. We do ask that guests abide by certain quiet hours out of respect for other guests.
Guests have full access to the basement apartment. They will not have access to the main house. However, they will have access to the backyard space.

Delano is a trendy neighborhood situated just west of the Arkansas River and Downtown Wichita. Monarch is a personal favorite (for food, drinks and appetizers). Centrally located, you can get anywhere in Wichita within 20 minutes. This house is located just three blocks from Friends University and just minutes from the Arkansas River. Don't forget to check out Wichita's iconic Keeper of the Plains.
The house is located on the beautifully historical University Street. The street is full of historical homes and comes to an end at the Commons of Friends University. The street is overlooked by the exquisite Friends University Clocktower, which is adorned with beautiful Christmas lights during the holidays. The front porch looks onto beautiful century old homes, one of which was once owned by the President of Friends University.
This space is centrally located with easy access to Kellogg Avenue. You can get to just about anywhere in Wichita within 20 minutes. Delano Dream is 3 blocks from Friends University and within minutes of the River, the Historic Delano District and Old Town. Scooters and bicycles are available for rent nearby so you can get around without a car.
The base price is based on two people, after two people, each additional person (including Kids 2 and older) is $15.00 extra. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a Queen Bed (sleeps 2), and the first bedroom has a loft with twin size mattress. The living room has a couch that folds into a futon bed (twin size).
We do have a ring doorbell system and motion activated camera in the back yard.

This is a basement unit in industrial style with exposed ductwork. The ceiling is as low as 74" in some places. Taller people may need to duck in spots.
