This open concept Cape Cod-style house is located on Von Geldren Cove in the quiet community of Lakebay, one cove north of Penrose State Park with easy walking trails. This newer beach house has all the creature comforts including three comfortable bedrooms and an office/den so each couple has a private bedroom.
The home is situated on 100 feet of soft, sandy beach on desirable Von Geldren Cove with 3 acres of property. Easy path for the elderly to meander to the beach and perfect for a romantic weekend, quiet retreat, couples getaway or multi-generational family reunion. Lots of space for kids and dogs. Expansive water views of the cove which is great for swimming, kayaking and safe for kids to play.
The beach is huge at low tide and perfect for beachcombers to find sand dollars, hermit crabs, crabs, eagles, herons, and the occasional seal. Children and young adults will love playing and swimming in the warm sheltered waters in front of the home or roasting marshmallows on the beach in the fire pit. You can launch your boat at a public ramp located close by, so bring your ski or sail boat and jet skis.
Drive down the private driveway to the house with breathtaking views appearing before you. Open area with trees along the sides of the house provides ample parking for 6+ cars with privacy.
Step into the house and open concept living room, dining room and kitchen with all the amenities: a stainless steel refrigerator, Beko dishwasher, island with barstools, pantry closet, dining table for 12, gas stack stone fireplace, flat screen TV and breathtaking views out every window on the front of the house. Open the french doors and step onto the expansive deck with 4 Adirondack chairs, 3 lounge chairs and two sets of four chairs around a glass table with umbrellas.
Kitchen features a Keurig coffee maker and pods , Nespresso vertuo, NutriBullet blender, filtered cold water tap, gas range, oven, and microwave. The kitchen and large pantry closet are well-stocked with appropriate cooking items, spices, condiments, baking items, basic foods, utensils, and 12 place settings of dishes.
Whether you choose to go beach combing, kayaking (3 kayaks are provided), dig for clams, BBQ, play board games, horseshoes, watch movies (45+ DVD's provided), watch the night stars or just relax, the deck, beach and lawn are the perfect place to hangout with loved ones. OUTDOOR Gas fireplace located on top deck and also midway down to the beach. Wood burning firepit located on the bulkhead next to the waters edge. Eight adult life vests are provided plus 1 children's . Surround yourself with your favorite music with the indoor/outdoor stereo or listen to the birds singing and soft lapping of the nearby bay.
Toward the back of the house are two bedrooms with 1) Queen bed and 2) 2 twin beds (one with an additional trundle bed) and large closets. The bathroom has a large shower with two shower heads, sink and toilet. There is a full-size washer dryer in the hall closet with iron and ironing board. Outside is a hand held warm shower to rinse off salt water or your pet.
Upstairs the master bedroom features a king size bed with a warm down/feather comforter, cozy sitting area, gas fireplace, and private balcony to have an intimate glass of wine above the bay and enjoy the sunset.
